Experience gained during training included an internship at The V&A Museum, London and also Brighton Museum.
Following graduation, she gained invaluable professional experience working in the Ceramic Conservation department at The British Museum, London.
In 1995, whilst continuing part-time employment with The British Museum she established her own business as a professional ceramic restorer in Brighton.
Clients have included: The National Portrait Gallery, The National Trust and The Charleston Trust and she has established long term professional relationships with clients from the antique trade and private collectors.
Kirsten also has several years experience teaching restoration skills to adults.
Since 2017 Kirsten has appeared as the ceramic restoration expert and core member of the restoration team on BBC The Repair Shop.
